Pay per click advertising provides fast results as far as gaining a first page ranking for your ads (pay per click ads typically show up on the very top of organic search results and at the right hand column of the page).

Well constructed PPC campaigns can be an ideal approach to reaching a targeted market at the exact moment they are ready to make a purchase. Since merchants only pay for these ads when they are clicked, it’s important to construct them in a way that targets their ideal audience. In other words the goal is to attract only those that are looking for exactly what a particular ad is offering. Equally important is to make sure the landing pages for these ads are highly relevant. For example, if a merchant is offering a particular promotion with its own unique ad group, the web page that customers are directed to should refer to the promotion and not a generic home page.
